Diwali Cleaning in Ranchi: Book a Verified Helper by the Hour

Updated 2 October 20264 min read

Every Ranchi household knows the Diwali list: fans, cobwebs, the kitchen tiles behind the stove, the balcony nobody has touched since the monsoon. Your regular maid has a one-hour slot and four other houses to finish — and around the festival she is often on leave herself. The simple fix is to book a cleaning helper by the hour for one long day of cleaning, and let your regular routine carry on as usual.

What a cleaning helper can do (and what she can't)

A DailyDomestic helper does regular, hands-on cleaning — the same work a good maid does, just for longer and in one go: sweeping and mopping every room, kitchen counters, stove and tiles, utensils, bathrooms and toilets, dusting, cobwebs, and fans and windows she can reach safely from a stool. We don't do machine deep cleaning, sofa or carpet shampooing, chemical treatments or high outside windows. For a very dirty or large home, book more hours or two helpers.

How many hours does a Diwali clean take?

HomeWhat gets doneHoursCost (₹180/hr)
1-BHKAll floors, kitchen, bathroom, dusting, fans2–3 hours₹360–₹540
2-BHKEverything above + cobwebs, windows within reach, balcony4 hours₹720
3-BHKFull clean of every room, kitchen tiles, two bathrooms6 hours (or 2 helpers × 3 hours)₹1,080
Independent houseRooms + stairs, verandah, terrace sweep6–8 hours (2 helpers)₹1,080–₹1,440

Online bookings have a ₹99 booking fee, paid by UPI to confirm the slot. The hours are paid to DailyDomestic after the work — never to the helper directly.

A room-by-room Diwali checklist to hand her

  • Ceiling and fans first — cobwebs, fan blades, light fittings (dust falls down, so floors come last).
  • Kitchen — tiles behind the stove, counters, sink, shelves emptied and wiped, utensils.
  • Bathrooms and toilets — tiles, taps, mirror, floor scrub.
  • Rooms — dusting of furniture and window grills, under the beds, then sweep and mop.
  • Balcony and entrance — sweep, wash, and clear the corners where the diyas and rangoli will go.
Write the list in priority order. If the hours run out, the rooms guests will see are already done.

Book early — the week before Diwali fills up

Demand for cleaning help peaks in the ten days before Diwali, and the best morning slots go first. Book two or three days ahead if you can; same-day help is still possible in most areas, but you'll have less choice of timing. Lalpur, Bariatu, Morabadi, Doranda, Ratu Road, Harmu and Kanke are where helpers are easiest to arrange. See all areas we serve.

How to book (one minute)

Have these ready before she arrives

  • Cleaning supplies — floor cleaner or phenyl, mop, broom, dish soap, scrub, toilet cleaner, a duster and a stool. Helpers don't bring supplies.
  • Someone at home to show her around and check the work at the end.
  • Valuables put away — standard good practice for any visitor during festival season.

Every helper is Aadhaar and address-verified and personally interviewed — the same staff we place on monthly plans. If your regular maid is going on leave for the festival, we can also cover her slot each day until she's back. More on what our cleaning helpers do on the home cleaning service page.
